Delukatio's 2023 Year in Review!

Hi guys and welcome to my 2023 year in review!

First of all I would like to thank every single one of you that takes the time out of their day to read these posts. This blog has seen moderate success this past year, especially given how sporadic my posts have been! Saying this, I also reached a record 6(!) posts last year which is a new record. I am partially joking when I state that as an achievement and I do hope to post at least once a month if not more in the following year!

Uh, I suppose I'll include a statistics section. This blog received apparently 20,000 views over the past year although given how unusual the spikes are, I would estimate probably a few thousand of them are legitimate. The most popular post last year was my Pokemon Go Hoenn Tour summary with it achieving 73 total views (see what I mean about the 20,000 total being a bit suspicious). That was probably near the top of my favourite posts to have written probably due to my success in the event as well as the fact I wrote it soon after.

In terms of my main YouTube channel I would say I also found moderate success. My channel was rather inactive for the majority of the year but I started uploading a short and clip a day during September and October. The biggest event of my channel this year was The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TOTK)'s release, which skyrocketed a few of my related videos. My uploads of the cutscenes featuring the character Sooga from Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity have always been my most viewed videos but they somehow activated another stage of rocket thruster this year. Sooga himself wasn't even in TOTK but I'm assuming the hype around the game aroused interest in him anyway. Thank you Sooga for paying for a couple meals! Also on a side note I'm 90% certain these videos have attracted the ex-Tumblr crowd, as a few of the comments about a fictional character are wild!

I also started watching quite a bit more Anime this year and I've enjoyed the majority of them. I'll most likely be creating a tier list for them soon but the standout this year is easily Attack on Titan. I started watching it a few weeks after the finale aired and I cannot describe how incredible of an experience it was, even on 1.5x playback. My favourite arc is easily the Marley arc purely due to Reiner's arc. I really warmed up to his character and he's probably my favourite character by the end of the series. My man just really wanted to end things all the time. :( I also watched the entirety of Bleach which was decent but nowhere near the top. Chainsaw Man was pretty banging although I feel like it lost steam towards the end of the season.

I could honestly write more but I currently have plans to make write ups on a lot of things I would've included so you'll have to wait until I eventually release those! Thanks for taking the time to read this post and support me over the past year. I hope to provide more riveting content over the next year and beyond. Bon Voyage!
